Pay homage to one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, Sandy Koufax, with this gallery-framed, Hand-Signed, LA Dodgers #32 white jersey, that has been signed by the Hall of Fame baseball legend, Sandy Koufax.
Sandy pitched 12 seasons for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1966. In 1972 he became the youngest player ever at the age of 36 to be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was also the first major league pitcher to pitch four no-hitters and the eighth pitcher to pitch a perfect game in baseball history. Sandy Koufax’s pitching career unfortunately ended prematurely at the young age of 30 when he developed arthritis in his left elbow. Despite his comparatively short career, Koufax’s 2,396 career strikeouts ranked 7th in history as of his retirement, at the time trailing only Warren Spahn (2,583) among left-handers. Koufax, Trevor Hoffman, Randy Johnson, Pedro MartÃnez, and Nolan Ryan are the only five pitchers elected to the Hall of Fame who had more strikeouts than innings pitched.
It is professionally framed in a uber elite custom museum frame. The triple matted display is mounted in a high-quality wood frame and finished with protective glass to keep it looking pristine. The customized descriptive metallic plaques, in addition to the detailed finishing and openings, add to the elegant and sophisticated gallery quality look.
Complete with a serialized certificate of authenticity and verifiable numbered hologram, this piece is an exciting investment that will only get better with age.
